SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — What was supposed to be a Friday night centered around high school football ended with a serious incident at Parkview High School after police say a juvenile was stabbed during an altercation inside the school’s locker room.
According to reports released Sunday by local news outlets, Springfield police responded to Parkview High School following a report of an assault Friday night, August 28. The incident occurred in the 1300 block of South Grant Avenue, where an altercation between two juveniles reportedly escalated and resulted in one juvenile being stabbed.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with injuries described by police as non-life-threatening. The juvenile accused in the stabbing was taken into custody and accepted for detention by the Greene County Juvenile Office, according to authorities.
